Of everything we make, the 10-inch is the mattress we recommend most. Three separate 3-inch layers of GOLS certified organic latex sit inside a zippered cover, topped with a 1-inch layer of softer latex quilted right into the top, so you get plush surface comfort over deep, even support.
Every WHOLE MATTRESS is quilted on both sides in organic cotton and wool, completely reversible, with handles, a zippered cover and a 20-year limited warranty, in Soft, Regular Firm, Extra Firm or Ultra Firm.

Two 3-inch layers of organic latex, quilted on both sides. Low profile and responsive, it flexes beautifully on an electric adjustable bed.

Three separate 3-inch layers, 9 inches of organic latex inside, with a 1" soft latex pad quilted into the top. The balance of comfort and support most sleepers ask for.
A 3" top, a 6" middle and a 3" bottom layer of latex in three zippered chambers. "Probably the best mattress in the World." We don't know how to make a better one.

GOLS, the Global Organic Latex Standard, certifies that latex is made from organically grown rubber, without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. A GOLS label means a minimum of 95% organic latex. Every piece of latex inside a WHOLE MATTRESS carries its own GOLS sticker, and ours is rated at 96% organic latex.
GOTS, the Global Organic Textile Standard, certifies the cotton and wool that quilt your mattress, from the farm through the finished fabric. Together, the two labels mean the materials closest to you for a third of your life are independently verified as organic. Not "natural-style." Certified.
Organic latex comes from the Hevea brasiliensis tree. Just two centuries ago it grew only in the Amazon rainforest; today it is cultivated on organic plantations, where the milky sap is gently tapped from the bark without harming the tree.
That sap is whipped, molded and cured into natural latex, a material that is soft and springy, breathable and remarkably durable. It is the same latex that becomes the core of every WHOLE MATTRESS, renewable at the source and resilient for decades in your bedroom.

Most conventional mattresses are built from polyurethane foam, polyester fiber and chemical fire retardants: zero percent natural. A WHOLE MATTRESS has three ingredients, cotton, wool and latex, and nothing more. Read our warning about synthetic, polyester and polyurethane foam mattresses.
Breathable, moisture-wicking and soft against your skin. Organic cotton keeps air moving through the quilting and is grown without synthetic chemicals.
Nature's temperature regulator: warm in winter, cool in summer. Wool wicks away moisture and is naturally flame resistant, so no chemical fire retardants are needed.
Support, durability and an eco-friendly origin. Organic latex contours to your body, springs back instantly and holds its shape for many years.

A zippered cover makes what is inside more breathable, more responsive and more comfortable. It lets you switch the firmness of any layer, and if you ever need service, getting inside is simple. Being able to open your mattress is just way more practical, and it is how a WHOLE MATTRESS stays right for you for twenty years.
"Once you sleep on an organic mattress, you are not going to sleep on anything else!"
WHOLE MATTRESS · We make, sell, deliver & guarantee America's best-built organic mattresses
We believe a latex mattress is twice as good as anything else you can buy, and organic latex is the best latex there is. It contours to your shoulders and hips without the "stuck" sinking feeling of memory foam, then gently pushes back so you can turn over easily.
Its open-cell structure breathes, carrying heat and moisture away, so you sleep cooler, a real difference in Phoenix summers and Los Angeles heat waves. And because latex is naturally resilient, a WHOLE MATTRESS keeps feeling like the day it arrived for many years longer than foam.
The most important consideration when you buy a mattress is support: how you feel when you wake up in the morning. Our customers usually aren't the people who can sleep anywhere on anything. They need the right support for their back, neck, shoulders and hips.
That is why every WHOLE MATTRESS comes in four firmnesses, and why our staff asks how you sleep before recommending anything. Not quite right? Switch the firmness within 10 days of delivery for just $89, see our 10-day local exchange policy.
GOLS certified organic latex is also available in Super Firm. Learn more about support, THE ULTIMATE in comfort and back pain.
WHOLE MATTRESS is sold factory direct: we make, sell, deliver and guarantee every mattress ourselves. No middleman, no third-party warehouse and no distributor markup, so you get America's best-built organic mattress at a better price.

In 1964, Henry Kraus founded Electropedic Adjustable Beds in Los Angeles. In 1987, a night on a latex mattress in a small Swiss Alps hotel left him waking without his usual backache, and within a year he was making latex mattresses for his customers. Learn why Latexpedic began.
WHOLE MATTRESS is the organic chapter of that story: the same hand craftsmanship, made with certified organic latex, cotton and wool. Over 60 years of helping people with back, neck, shoulder and hip problems means the right mattress and firmness for you, from the best latex mattress store in Los Angeles and our Phoenix showroom.
